Born in Japan, raised in Canada but educated and trained as a hair stylist in both Japan and Canada, Taro is truly bilingual and bicultural. Taro started his career as a hairstylist in Japan in 1986, graduating from the Yamano Beauty College in Tokyo in 1988. He has studied at "Peek a boo" in Tokyo and "Vidal Sassoon" in Toronto. Taro realized there was a need for convenient, quality hair services for fashion-conscious but busy people.

Kei’s family has a long history in the beauty industry. His great grandmother was a Hairstylist, so he is the fourth generation. Kei has been trained personally from his uncle. His uncle is one of a select few who is an instructor for Vidal Sassoon Japan. He has worked for 5 years as a stylist at the renowned “M Taniguchi” Salon which is frequented by many celebrities and is considered one of the best hair salons in Japan. He placed 2nd in the overall L’oreal Paris competition and at the same time received an award from “Shinbiyou (new beauty magazine)”. Shinbiyou is the most famous beauty magazine for professionals in Japan.
